Shari Geller Event
March 23rd – April 27th, 2016
Wednesday Evenings 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
This workshop will help participants to:
• Boost vitality, resilience and well-being
• Experience music as a fun and expressive way towards mind/body integration
• Generate take home practices to cultivate presence and mindfulness
The tradition of a formal seated meditation practice is only one way to develop mindfulness. There are many other ways. Drawing from neuroscience and the power of music, this Therapeutic Rhythm and Mindfulness (TRM) workshop will offer you engaging ways to increase presence, resiliency and vitality. TRM integrates group drumming and imagery with mindfulness and reflection practices to create a fun, positive, and powerful approach to cultivating presence.
This workshop will help participants develop greater mind-body-relational awareness as we come into rhythm and attune with ourselves and others. By engaging the senses, rather then the analytic mind, we experience many of the same benefits of meditation with some additional ones: An increase in positive emotions, social connectedness and vitality, while reducing anxiety, depression and fatigue.
Anyone interested in increasing presence, positive health and wellbeing are welcome—no drumming or meditation experience is necessary. Parents, educators and health professionals will be particularly interested in this technique.
(Early Registration $450.00, if registered by March 1st, 2016)
